June has been a fair month. Finished the Starmada project and made some good progress on skirmish figures.
I am working on a mid-year review so more later.

Fall Thaw
06 November: After a few days of snow and freezing temperatures, a general thaw has set in. With the unexpectedly warm weather comes some unexpected decisions by the Commanding Generals.
LTG Von Stroodel has decided to send a division under MG Grumm to occupy the critical ford at Furthing Ford to the North before settling in to Winter quarters. This strong defensive position could protect the main army's advance in the Spring.
Unbeknownst to the Katzenstein Commander, Poo-Bochen has also sent a force to occupy the ford to pin the Katzian Army in the South.
After delays in organizing his forces and repeated requests for additional troops, MG Grumm's division marches North and arrives near Furthing Ford on the 16th.

Will be playing the battle with the Field of Battle (Piquet) rules. I have a nice new set of the playing cards from Brent Oman. This will be the first outing for several of my units. I rolled up the commanders and unit stats over the weekend...the Katzian forces are in for a tough time with an Abysmal Commander facing a Superior enemy.

Krasnovia
I am planning some structure to my 15mm generic modern skirmish gaming.
I was inspired by several things such as:
A Very British Civil War
Twighlight:2000
AK-47
Lebanon
Yugoslavian Wars
Lybia
Somalia
Post WW I Europe
So The Republic of Krasnovia is born! The name comes from the fictitious nation used by the US Military to represent a Soviet trained army for use during training exercises. It featured heavily in training at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA.
My Krasnovia is a mess. Lots of political, ethnic, religious, and other factions fighting for control of key locations. Most are focused around the capital, but some others will be included.
I will have a latter post with some of the locations and factions. Your feedback is always welcome.
I am planning on a simple association map instead of any specific layout. Easier to track a campaign this way.
The rules will be Flying Lead (SOBH) for individuals and Force on Force for any squad/team engagements.
The figures will be 15mm from several sources:

Republic of Atlantica: This is a regional power to the North that is intervening in an attempt at peacekeeping/peacemaking.
Regional Cooperation Council:
United Nations Mission-Krasnovia: (Force K)

Krasnovian National Party:
People's Phalange:
Royal Army of the People: A group of nobles advocating for a return of the king as a figurehead for the oligarchy.
Christian Coalition of Krasnovia
King’s Grand Legion: A center-right group advocating for a return of the King in a constitutional monarchy with a strong senate. [This is my main faction]
Government of Krasnovia: This is a weak coalition government that is slowly fracturing.

Starmada Fleet
The first Starmada Fleet. The glare is bad in these shots...I have tried matte spray a few times but keep getting the white film. Two basees broke, need to replace them with metal stands.
They are placed on a Hotz mat...looks good. I have two mats to cover the whole table.
Two more half size fleets to paint plus fighters. I did not enjoy painting these but want to get these project finished and play a game.
