Skirmish in Prior's Park Woods

After several skirmishes in the area, both sides settled down to a series of patrols, checkpoints, and training exercises. The BUF Legion organized a small force of territorial army troops to train some new BUF recruits.

Lady Otterford has taken a major role in recruiting new troops to the ROV LDB. While her sympathies are leaning strongly to the Albertine cause, she has gathered a mix of new recruits into an ad hoc platoon.

One stormy night, both forces got lost in the Prior Park Woods...the thick terrain, storm, and heavy fog caused mayhem in both forces. As dawn started to break, the woods were still thick with fog and the leaders found their forces scattered all over. Only the soft blinking light on a radio tower gave any hint of the troops' locations.

BUF from the north, ROV from the south.

Heavy fog blankets the area.

First contact, a TA team stumbles upon some Albertines.

Some BUF troops reach the tower, stalked by Lady Otterford's hand picked gals.

First casualties in the confusing fight.

BUF at the tower go down in a hail of fire from both sides.

BUF militia and some local defense volunteers mix it up in hand to hand combat in the woods.

TA troops lead away some prisoners.

The fight in the woods continues...finally only two are left...and both are wounded.

Socialist troops finish off a BUF team, but suffer in the process.

Lady Otterford forms a solid position on the tower hill to hold off the enemy.

What fate waits these captuerd Albertines?

Heavy TA fires route some of Lady Otterford's newest gals.

Victoria wins the day! Awards and promotions are in her future.

With their flanks secured, Lady Otterford orders the platoon to fall back rather than face the better trained TA troops.
